In recent months I've been idly toying with the idea of tracing my family tree. I suppose this was triggered by my having to clear out the farmhouse when we started major renovations back in October. I found all sorts of old photos, birth certificates and so on, put them in a box and left them to ferment...
Anyway yesterday I decided to start looking into the best tools to manage all this info and to put it into some sort of family archive. As you can image there are many many geneaology tools out there, both free and paid for. You can search hunrdeds of online databases in order to track down your elusive relatives and the whole process was looking increasingly intimidating.
However, completely by chance (can't even remember what I was searching for) I came upon a complete gold nugget. I seems that someone has already done all of the detective work already and here was my entire family tree laid out before me!
So without further ado I'd like to introduce the entire (well almost) Wilcock clan.

I spent a few hours just browsing this site and learning about my ancestors. I think that even if I hadn't found this amazing resource I would still be inclined to have done it myself. It's kind of like an itch, you know?
